Still fighting time lapse movie creation but here are a couple of pics from Stehekin.

Like Craig said, it was a bit breezy when Suz and I arrived Friday afternoon. Landing was a bit of a rodeo.

Theresa and I are in for Nehalem Bay on August 20-21. We've never been there before, but it looks great. Hope to see some of you there :D

After much non-geek trail and error I finally put together the time lapse images I took w/ the Drift from Stehekin to Cascade, WA via Cascade Pass.

Once over the pass (5420 ft) and into the Cascade River valley set up a ~300fpm descent into Cascade.

The conversion to mp4 was a bit choppy at the first. Will figure out sound track next.

So August 19-21 Nehalem Bay (3S7) is next week. Who is coming? I will be there.

What I mean is who is REALLY coming. If you have a death in the family or IFR wx those are acceptable excuses.

Not gonna make this one, but I'm holding out for the McKenzie Bridge get together. Are we still a go on this one for Sept. 9-11?

Tom Weiss perished in a mid-air collision October 12, 2014. He was an enthusiastic and beloved contributor here for close to 10 years, and he will be missed greatly.

Looks like we will have our choice of camp spots. Doesn't seem to be much buzz. This is the time to get er done NW people. Airplane camping don't get much better than this. If you don't do this now then when?

Bring fire wood! A bike to get to town is nice too.

I don't know if I can make this one. I have a conflict. The Husky Fly-in is at the Root Ranch the same weekend. Have fun. Watch out for gusty winds coming over the trees on landing.
