Need to make a Bellingham run this weekend so no go for me. Should be great. Hopefully cooler than the possible 90's predicted here.

Oh, just spent the whole morning playing with my new Rodenator, blowing up moles. This thing is way more fun than traps! Big boom. If you get the gas into a shallow feeding tunnel the dirt flys and the boom is way loud! FUN!

Time to head to Nehalem now. Be there about 2pm.

I built one, and I can attest to the fun part. Except it blew the tunnels open and I had to refill them with dirt from somewhere else, 'cause the explosion scattered the dirt far and wide. I never did find any mole or gopher bodies.

Sunny no wind. So nice.

Low clouds and fog this morning. Sat around drinking coffee and BSing. Nice camp fire. By 2PM the wx was OVC 0001. Me and M5guys used our IFR ticket and got out. There was about 20 people stuck there and it is still socked in. Tomorrow looks worse. DZ Video to come.

Nice video Rob, sorry I missed you guys. Theresa and I were there 2 weeks ago. I think it's our new favorite place on the coast Had to take the Bonanza to a service clinic in Spokane on Friday and went to Friday Harbor with her yesterday for whale watching with friends. Oh, by the way, fishing is great at Chukar flat right now, was over there on Saturday and caught 25 small mouth bass in just a couple of hours. They'll hit on anything right now!

There are a bunch of planes stuck at Nehalem.

Reminds me of the old saying " If you really need to be there, don't go by air."

Hey Rob, what kind of IFR clearance did you request to get out of there? An IFR to VFR on top, or a full blown IFR route clearance, and if so, what was your clearance to, i.e. what initial fixes did you use? I'm curious because the thought has crossed my mind on the coast many time, but I've never actually had to do it. Cheers!
