Re: OregonMaule Destinations: Uncle, turn the fire hose off

Good thing I'm on my 34 hour off duty here in eastern Montana through Sunday night! But, that stuff might be blowing east into Idaho and Montana the next few days? I gotta load near Elko, NV Tues morning.

Have fun!!

Re: OregonMaule Destinations: Uncle, turn the fire hose off

Yeah, this kind of rain sucks bad. Spent the day working on my garage improvement project and had to work under a big tent in the driveway to rip sheetrock. My rain gauge at the house shows 1.4" since midnight. My drainage can't handle much more than that...eek.

Re: OregonMaule Destinations: Uncle, turn the fire hose off

Just saw that Mt Baker and above 4500' is going to get around 10 feet of snow over the next few days!

http://unofficialnetworks.com/monster-winter-storm-impacting-pnw-13-feet-of-snow-forecast-for-mt-baker-125330/

Very windy here today but no precip in the forecast for the long range. Here comes our indian summer... [-o<

Re: OregonMaule Destinations: Uncle, turn the fire hose off

Strong wind especially for the coast and coastal mountains today.
Pressure gradient and lower level wind field support gust 70 to 80 miles per hour
along the beaches

A 150-180kt jet will maintain strong moisture advection into
the region...enhancing the rainfall.

This event will likely still be record-breaking...probably in many different
ways as several sites are approaching September rainfall records.

So here we are hunkered down, cooking shepard pie, surfing the net while walking on the treadmill. Tomorrow back to the shower project at the rental.

Cheers...Rob

So when the FAA shows up questioning your exceeding an aircraft limitation, what are you going to tell them? It was Photoshop'd.
Good luck!

Re: OregonMaule Destinations: Lunch run Pacific City

Another phenomenal day here. Light wind but cool. I am headed to Pacific City for the day. If anyone is in for a bowl of chowder and some Jeepin I'll be landing at approximately 11 AM

Cheers...Rob

OregonMaule Destinations: Lunch run Pacific City

Great day. I got all the grass by the airport mowed, probably for the last time but ya never know.

Highroad and his kids and friend Tim flew up from Coos Bay. We got lunch and Jeeped to the beach so the kids could do what kids do.

Thanks for the hospitality Rob! Kids loved the jeep ride and playing at the beach. The Beach House is looking great!

Hi Rob,

I landed at PACIFIC CITY today, with The Scout. That airport is a really cool place! Wx is remarkable this time of year, CLEAR!

What's your schedule this week?

Hey Ted: I'm semi retired, so some of this and some of that. Saturday I have a celebration of life gathering for my friend who lost his dad to cancer.

Never to busy to fly to lunch when the wx is nice.

Hi Rob,

Sounds good! But....

have to fly unexpected back to Hawaii for an issue that was unforeseen. Bummers for me.

Have your number and will contact when back in the area.

Thanks for the great pictures on the beach etc. I really like your airport and new home.

G'day Mate,
Ted

Making money to support the flying addiction. I hate crawlspaces, so let's just cut the floor out, now it's a standup space.

Hey Rob,
Go by the FOX booth and check out the ultra 4 car they have in the booth. My good friend built this car and the fabrication/attention to detail is amazing.

Image

Also, check out the Factory Five booth and the new 818 they are using Subaru parts to build. Neat little car.
