I sent you a PM, but I ill put this up for others. There are a few meals planned, but you need to let us know if you want to participate. You can take a nice flight to Gateway, about 35M, they offer great meals, and have a well stocked convenience store with deli, alcohol and a decent market.

Re: Spring Utah Fly-in Pt 2

Shortfielder,

I just sent in my release of liability. I plan on being there, arriving Friday or Saturday A.M. I know I'm late with a notice. I'll bring cash to contribute whatever, but will plan on being self sufficient in case there isn't any food etc.

I'm looking forward to it. This will be my first experience with a flyin of this type.

Anyone want to volunteer to write a trip/fly-in report for this?

It would require pics/video/writeup.

But..but...isn't it too late to notify Gary? :) Let me mull it over. Sometimes I get squeamish at the thought of going to fly-ins with guys in Maules. ;)

Bummer. I checked sometime mid month last month and Monticello was still around $3.99. At least we'll be paying the same as our home field.

Re: Spring Utah Fly-in Pt 2 (April 30-May 2)

Gary,

As I indicated a few weeks ago, I'm going to try to make it. If it's not too late, i will sign up for three nights camping, a steak dinner (1), and a breakfast. I will be self-sufficient if I didn't get my request in soon enough. I will also send you my release form and a check for the camping and meals.

Thanks for all your work on this event. See you there.

Re: Spring Utah Fly-in Pt 2 (April 30-May 2)

Just so we are all on the same page. I thought I had mentioned this before, but didn't notice it.

I got a check today from one of the guys planning on attending. On the check it said that part of the money was for a steak dinner. There isn't going to be a steak dinner. I know that originally a steak was discussed, but later on decided to be like a dutch oven chicken deal or burger/chicken, veggies, desert dinner.

So, at this point, I'm not exactly sure what it will be, but, hopefully something really good.

If you have sent in money expecting a steak dinner and are not happy with the updated menu, let me know and I will refund your money.

Re: Spring Utah Fly-in Pt 2 (April 30-May 2)

Less than two weeks away. Time to start praying for good weather and gathered things up.

Z - I can probably put together a fly-in report with some pics/vids if no one else chimes in. But it will probably be told from my perspective rather than the groups perspective.

Is anyone planning on going to certain airstrips on certain days. I picked a couple I'd like to visit but I'd like to see where others are going.

Matt..been to Mineral Canyon and I think you have too..but would go back just for fun.....probably Gateway and maybe south to Monument Valley and some of the strips down there. Always open for suggestions..possibly Hidden Splendor..I think TIME and WX will have a lot to do with it. Maybe we could make some decisions when we get there. HC
