Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Tadpole, basically your flying in an O-470 powered 170. I have pictures of L-19's and 170's being produced in the same production line at Cessna.

Hahaa! There's actually 2 rockets per side, but they are inert...which I'm betting those guns aren't!

Re: Where did you fly today?

My wife, daughter and I flew over to Agness on the Rogue River for the afternoon. They snoozed on a blanket under the wing while I headed to the river. I have had a goal to catch a SteelHead with my fly rod this summer, preferably after stepping out of my airplane. Well, today it came together!

The Folks at Lucas Lodge are top notch and say they will be around until mid Nov. We had dinner there and it was fantastic.

This guy was not the largest, but put up a great fight on a 5wt. rod.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flew up to Bellingham Friday afternoon and back again on Sunday. Fantastic weather, though, a little windy and rough until I got some altitude coming back home. Tailwinds BOTH WAYS!!!! Just an excellent flight for what is probably the last one I'll be doing in the 150. One of the partners sold his share and two buyers were on hand. It is too good of an opportunity to pass up. I'll be looking for an upgrade soon. Probably will end up with a 172 at some point.

Craig, I think you need something like this:

It lives on the ramp at Hood River.

That's fantastic, Rob. You're getting your moneys worth out of that bird of yours.

The deal fell through on the share I was selling. The buyer balked at having to provide a credit report to the remaining partners. Can't say I'm bothered at all. I figure either way I win. I either had the freedom to look for something more powerful or I can continue to fly inexpensivly.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Jim (180), Mike (185), and my wife and I flew our Skywagons to Calhan, CO for breakfast. Planned to walk into town until fellow skywagon owners Bob and Trish showed up to meet us with their vehicle :-) Good times and good food had by all. My wife loves our new BAS inertia reel seatbelts. Glad she doesn't know what we paid for them ;-) After talking to Flynbeekeeper and his pops I didn't care how much they cost. Installed them and the BAS tail pull handles.

That 180 is sounding more saleable all the time. PM me when you've got wheel skis on it

Seriously- glad to hear of someone getting so much enjoyment out of their plane =D>

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flew Young Eagles today at Meadowlake Airport in CO. We had 9 planes total. I flew 6 kids and my boss (made him sit in back so his son could fly my plane).Every kid I flew had a blast and got to fly my Skywagon. Nothing cooler than getting a youngster fired up about aviation.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Inkom Id to Bryce Canyon, then over page, Tuba City and into Casa Grande for the Copper State Fly-in. The next day late tookoff and made Kingman AZ right at dark 'oclock, next AM up to Cedar City Utah in strong headwinds damn it, then through the VFR corridor over SLC (my first for that, I always go around, it was a pretty fun flight, over a major city, still enough open areas for me to feel comfortable in my S-7S as far as landing areas. It was quite a contrast to a few hours earlier over desert between the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead! On into my strip at Inkom, 20.5 hrs total flight time in 3 days, best of all I beat the snow!
