Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Had fun on the dry lake yesterday, it was all ice with about 5" of snow over that. I never knew how much fun brodies could be with a Cub... ha ha The whole "E" was made at full throttle..

Beckett is 6 months old, thanks for asking.

Glad to you see you using that 180........watched it on Stancils web site and it is good to see it getting flown the way it was built to be flown.

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

I'll say! You oughta send that in to AvWeb and see if the'll put it in the photo of the week thing. Very unique.

Just wondering, if the lake is big enough, could you write the whole "Pledge of Allegiance" or would you get dizzy first?

Re: Where did you fly today?

Today - 5.8 hours, and 2.5 of that was in MVFR. But what wasn't poor, was nice.

1. Someone near Akron-Canton airport wanted to send a message to someone name Perez arriving on rwy 05.

2. One of the Amish schools I wave my wings at when they are outside made me this nice "snow art" piece.

Re: Where did you fly today?

It was time for the weekly warm the engine and oil flight. Don't want the cam to rust you know. Took a friend and his daughter to Pacific City for lunch. Lot of different wind shear going on, not real bad but enough to keep you on your toes.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Did not fly my plane today but thought this counted as "where I flew today".

Flew up from Truckee in my friends Pilatus yesterday with 8 buddies. What a nice aircraft. I think it officially goes into the dream thread about if you had enough money, what would be your ideal cross country plane! Now I am having a hard time between the Pilatus and the turbo otter on Amphibs...I guess I would need both.

Currently in Juneau AK, getting the high pressure here with 2 helicopters. I think the photos will speak for themselves but damn it was a good day. Snow hard in Tahoe now. Will make for some good ski flying when we return.
