Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Where did you fly today?

Went to SFO the other night. First time in there at night by myself. Turned out to be no big deal but was apprehensive about it. The tower controller was very cool, but I guess it helps to have a big star on the tail.

I see! Off topic a short bit....... Do you know the name and location of a great big vehicle proving ground some where along 50? It's available for rent to public vehicle company's for durability testing. Thought someday would be cool to fly over it and check it out. I've seen it once from 26K feet AGL (airline) and looked it up when I got home a few years ago, but since had forgotten where it's at :?

Edit.......... Wow! That's cool!! I was the first one to hit the "100 Page" mark! I feel honored! 8)

It's the Nevada Automotive Test Center, just east of Dayton along the Carson River.

I went up on Saturday to knock the rust off, since it had been a while. I practiced three 10-mile finals, four clear-of-the actives, and by then I was feeling pretty good, so I wrapped up with two Everyone-everywhere-please-advise's.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to our favorite mechanics help  but those two aren't gonna help you none either

As for today, flew the 180 down to Stanfield for a PAASS program, where a non reporting BCP'r almost tee boned me as I was on the last bit of my 137 mile final, I called just off my field and figured that oughta keep the door open for me... first a/c on final after all
Got home in time to get 3 loads of fungicide out before the winds decided to rear their ugly heads...with no moon and 4 loads of herbicide next, I wasn't in the mood to push my luck any...

I flew two different pipeline routes in the scout, then got out "Little Miss Sunshine" and we skied for 1.5 hours.
