Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

From facebook, I found out that an old kayaking buddy lived near one of my pipeline routes. He sent me coordinates (only degrees and minutes, no seconds) along with a google earth photo of his place.

So while deadheading home I zeroed in on those fast moving gps numbers and found his place. So I landed in a snowy corn field with fairly high stalks (scout's tire tread goes down 30 inch rows just fine) right behind his house.

ice,
I live about 5 minutes from Martinez and have some great river bars to share... been waiting for Gary to quit fiddle f'ing around with the chainsaw powered wonders and buy a cub

C'mon by sometime

sundays flying was real nice here...

I would never get the wheels of my airplane in the water on purpose... I suspect neither would Gary :^o

sorry.. not much of a picture guy, but I think Gary mighta got a few. Here's the best I can do... and with a little help from Halfast:

A wise old man once told me he just couldn't get enough of looking at good pictures of his own airplane... maybe he was on to something ;)

Re: Where did you fly today?

This wasn't today, this was Friday...I was out of town and away from my computer. I went to Yakima for an interview and got to fly around the valley after the fog burned off enough in a Sport Cub.

Where did you fly today?

Flew to SLE for breakfast yesterday.
Brian is flying the Husky on amphibs. We are trying to talk him into pulling the floats and joining us at JC.
I volunteered an excavator for the lifting, should be fun.

These are from Sunday. (took me a bit to work the kinks out of the new Droid)
Took the chainsaw for a quick hop down the Colorado river towards Moab.
Not bad for the end of January.
