Took off at 8:30pm with two buddies, beautiful sun, tried to make it to the Alaska Border near Skagway, AK but it was totally sucked in about 15 miles before border..so played in the mountains, returned to Carcross, Yukon for landing and chatt up with a "good" friend and stumbled onto one of the first ever built C-172...serial #20 ! Flew back to Whitehorse in a firy northern sky... 1.5 air time.

Bennet lake...at the end of this lake is Lindeman city where 1898 gold rush stampeders built their boat to join the journey onto the Yukon river bound to Dawson City...many would perish
