Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Where did you fly today?

I took my daughter up yesterday as my first passenger. I got my ticket 3 weeks ago, but weather and prior engagements have prevented me from going up until yesterday.

We flew up to Hillsboro and did a touch and go, then headed South to Waco. We landed at KACT and went inside to have a burger and cool off a bit. It was pretty hot, so we decided to head back to Temple and call it a day.

It was a fun trip, and the first of many that I hope to share with my little girl. (She's 15, so I guess she's not really "little," but she'll always be my little girl)

Hey BCT, no sand bars, had the wife unit and she is very clear, no off airport stuff.

Rob, I don't know what mountain that is, you are probably right.

It was a great weekend!

Cheers...Rob

Here's a couple of videos from a short trip up to Delores Point. Just another great day of flying in the western colorado high country.
This area is hard to beat. The strip in the latest pics is at 8000ft on top of a mesa.
Here are a couple of videos of the trip from Mack to Delores

I took a buddy out in the Cub for his first light aircraft experience. Prior to this he was excited to learn to fly, now he's not so sure... kind of the opposite of the normal reaction. #-o

Stuck it on there for him...his fav show is Doctor Who. Maybe you'd prefer some Warren G and Nate Dawg? :)

It was the dead guy prank! Cruel, funny but cruel. :)

You might try to tease it out of him if there was something or things he didn't like, what he expected, or what he wanted from flying. Maybe he wanted to skid across the water on wheels? Maybe he just had to pee really bad and realized the lack of bathrooms and couldn't get the window opened?

I guess that is one downside to tandem seating. :) I taught him how to operate the fresh air vent...

Headed out today to practice and have some fun. This little spot is about as short as I feel comfortable with at 6000ft elev. (412ft)

Re: Where did you fly today?

Picked up a C180 at KFBL this morning for a friend. Flew up to KROS, Rush City MN for a pancake bfast. Arrived just in time to see my friend from our strip & his T-6 buddies do a pass over the runway. Turned base as Lead called 'smoke on' & had a nice view. Slipped in behind them & landed. From the GA parking area I watched their right echelon overhead break to land & touchdown.

Beautiful day to fly :D
