Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Courier Guy, neither me nor my buddy have ever met you in person, but we were both mentioned your name as we flew over the incredible snow flats north of Green River Lakes. It would be like a giant playground in your S-7 on skis! C'mon over sometime...

Thanks, 58S. I'm always a little self-conscious about putting stuff on the board, but I was in such a good mood tonight after a day of "flight therapy" that I just couldn't resist. :-P

Here is a link to more pictures from our flight if you're interested.

So many flying sites, so little time! Especially on skis of course the potential places to go play are mind boggling. The picture I posted is about 4 miles from my strip, it's hard for me to explore new places as I ain't wore out/got bored my own area yet! I do like that Wyoming flying though.....

Mush flew up to SNY this morning to do a little shopping at Cabelas, we had a bite to eat and then I flew part way back to STK with him, and then I turned around back to SNY because a fog bank was coming into SNY.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Started the morning with a dawn photo shoot of our BCP Philippine captain on his tug in the Delaware bay. I got a surprise call from Bob Breeden said him and his son were in the area. We had a good afternoon playing in the fields around my place

Cool pic of the tug!

Is that Cub out of Idaho about a year or so ago? Looks just like what my buddy had.

Re: Where did you fly today?

The cub is Bob Breedens new ride. Him and Bobby were coming from Maine with this very low time cub that came off floats. I believe the cub has been up there for a while. The tug pic is that of our very own BCP member wingsoverpalawan.

Very Nice S-12. May my schedule open up soon for some flying or riding in that very country.

You 2 really need to go skirt the Dirty Devil from Hite to Hanksville and bring the camera. That is my all-time favorite low level (somewhat low level) flight but I have no video to share.

Thanks.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Finally had a chance to finish the video from the trip my brother and I took last weekend to Hidden Splendor, Mexican Mountain and Cedar Mountain.

On a related note, the music I am using is royalty and cost free. It's not my favorite, but anytime I use something cool, Youtube kicks my video off for copyright infringement. It's really annoying. I've seen lots of others use music that is copyrighted and get away with it, but not me! Any ideas from anyone here? I know that Vimeo doesn't do this, at least it hasn't yet, but I already have a Youtube channel.

Perhaps they are using AudioSwap? I'm guessing videos that use it are the ones that show the track info with a link to buy it below the video.

Re: Where did you fly today?

You are pretty much locked into using their approved music. Like McKim said, just use audio swap. Most of the tunes there are lame but you can usually find something acceptable.

Re: Where did you fly today?

When does copyright run out on recorded music? When the original artist is dead I don't think the owners can limit circulation forever. Lots of old Jazz out there that's pretty hot.

Re: Where did you fly today?

I wish it worked that way. A lot of good stuff out there by artists that have passed on. But it not so. Try using an Elvis song or a Buddy Holly tune. Most music is not owned by the artist. The recording company usually owns the rights for distribution.

Thanks;
I will try to get down there in a week or two. This weekend I have a friend coming down with a couple of new Husaberg 390's and we plan on riding some of my favorite "undisclosed locations".

Got to spend my lunch hour doing local pattern work. I never was very good about staying out of the mud when I was a kid, but that's always where I had the most fun!!!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flying in Estern NC is not nearly as romantice as some of the other post but I do have great time. Hope I can get a better set of pics and videos to share, just need to be careful of some questionable locations. All of the pics were visited yesterday afternoon. Hope you enjoy!
