Where did you fly today?
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

I am assuming you flew with Mikey Matthews out of Lake Norman Airpark. He did my tailwheel endorsement in the Deke. Awesome guy to fly with. Jax Posts: 3Joined: Wed Sep 07, 2011 11:16 amLocation: Huntersville NC
You are correct, I did fly with Mikey Mathews. He is a great pilot and great instructor, he taught me way more than just a tail wheel endorsement. He taught me how to safely push the aircraft to the edges of the envelope (safely) and then what to do if things go wrong. It was a ton of fun and I am going back for more

Couldnt have said it better myself. He is an absolute ball to fly with and when I get my piggy bank full I always call him up. He does some awesome aerobatic work too. Check out his website for link to the vids. Feel free to let me know next time your headed this way...you know, food/beverage recommendations and such. I am assuming you are a Nuke worker from a previous post. The contract I am working on now is based at Oak Ridge.

Flew to KRVS in Tulsa with my daughter as co-pilot. Although it was boring Oklahoma terrain and a busy controlled airport, it was better than any backcountry flying adventure out there.

Every flight is a good one if you have the right co-pilot. Good show! I don't have any little ones to share my flying with, but I know a couple dad's with young kids at my airport & I never see them flying with them. What a shame, they're losing out on some real quality dad time IMHO.

I've been doing a lot of flying out of a place in Southwest Asia where the temp right now is -11, and that is Farenheit! Been mostly flying to places with OA-- as the first two letters in the ICAO identifier, where the temps are above freezing for the most part. Once I figure out how to get pictured posted on this thing, I'll throw them on.

Seven days without flying, makes one weak.
Wasn't exactly the little bush strips I expected.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk because I'm still working and can't get my damned aircard connected.

Always well received.

That's the most triumphant video I've watched all week.

Nice videos.

Don't let them jerk your chain. Landing in the grass next to the paved strip is as "bush" as a lot of these guys get 90% of the time.

Get your mind in the gutter. No comments were made about the airstrips.

Dang Pat, how did that happen? We got there the afternoon of the 13th but the pictures I just posted began on the 14th. Does that mean we only missed you by a few hours?
We saw a F-16 fly-by over the hot springs that afternoon.

We got there around 2PM.

Ah Mike, We just left before you came back in (I was right seat in Russ's plane). I think we departed just before 2pm because we landed in Kernville just after 3pm.

Was a beautiful day here on the high plains..saw a bunch of planes out flying so I flew to Sterling Co and back this evening, and practiced my short landings on the grass in the dark.
