Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Justin stopped by yesterday and we landed a few nearby spots before he headed east to Utah.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Well, I have been bitching about not being able to put in any flying time for the last few years and now I got some.
Trips to Skagway, then to Juneau then JNO then JNO and JNO again!
the problem is that they have not been flights for fun, A couple for business, a couple for helping friends and the last one yesterday for my grown son who had a burst appendix.
I have to make a road trip to Tok tomorrow and then it will be flying back to JNO to pick him up.
Sorry no pictures, I should have taken some as the weather conditions have been superlative! Severe clear and warm, the ole plane sure flies different at 75 degrees than at 40!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Discovered this lightening-caused fire near me yesterday. Called it in. Fortunately we're getting rain today.

In the morning, I flew up to northern Oregon to see the windmills:

I like the black & white look:

In the evening, I flew over our local mountains:

Continuing with the black & white theme, I got these:

Where did you fly today?

Sunday before last. No more 6.5 plus hour commute.

PA Turnpike (Just take the context of "the finger" as part of my artistic expression in this photo)

Still a little snow up in the big rocks here in Wyoming. To give a sense of scale, most of these shots were from 13.5k and above.
