Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

I spotted this while still in Idaho, on the way to Kalispell the other day. Saved in the GPS, for when the skis are back on! Also this pretty smooth looking ( right....) ridge top in the same neighborhood.

Re: Where did you fly today?

sorry Ive disappeared of late! Ive been flat out with work and and with the free time I have had Ive been trying to get an Aussie bush flying group together but I have been doing a bit of flying. Have just taken the Storch up north to Rockhampton in Queensland for the Old station fly in. While up there I met with a fellow who runs a major aviation magazine over here who said he wanted to do a professional photo shoot and a story about the plane for his magazine. I said its a bush plane, instead of doing it here, lets head out the back and do some bush flying! here's a couple of the photos his sent so far!

We will see about Idaho. More than likely the 180 but who knows. Spent some quality time in the new Highlander this morning with my buddy and his SQ. ImageImage

Re: Where did you fly today?

I was coming from thisaway, and going thataway, and decided to land and give it a few minutes to clear a bit, or not. 20 minutes later it looked a lot better and I flew on.

Came from this direction:

Was going this way:

Being able to land off airport sure can add a safety margin if and when needed, that's why I call it "recurrent safety training", seriously.

Headed out to pump station for a spot of fishing and breakfast this morning, didn't catch a thing but the tea was hot so going by my fishing skills and history....thats not a bad result!
