Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

(I have been wanting to take a trip to see these as well!)

I recognize those as the ones by Alamosa. Great Sand Dunes National Park.

You got it. Great flying around here!

Re: Where did you fly today?

We flew down to the Phoenix area (Gilbert) for my grandmothers funeral over the weekend. I didn't have any time to see anyone or do any flying while down there (it rained anyways), but on the way back we flew over the Grand Canyon.

Re: Where did you fly today?

In between trips out bush I look after a few local clients, one of which is my wifes favourite sushi restaurant. I was working there today when she decided to call me and request some sushi for lunch. I saw a perfect opportunity here for an excuse to go flying while I should be working and not be in trouble for it. So i said "well its a bit out of the way the hour and a half drive to your work, but i guess if you were to meet me at the airport near your office I could fly some over to you, you know, just to help you out....." Surprise surprise the urge for sushi won and i got a nice little burn in before a big southerly rolled in.

Sorry about the poor photo quality, just snapped off my phone.

The sushi to be delivered.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Having a little fun on the Snohomish River a few days ago. Before long the rains will come and these will be gone. Right now the Coho are running strong, so I had to play early and limit my impact to 1 takeoff/landing due to fisherman in the area. The one guy fishing to the left of the landing area thought this was pretty cool. He must have thought I was Fish and Game though, because he volunteered to show me his fishing license. I told him that wouldn't be necessary. I was tempted to confiscate his beer though.

75"??

How far is the WW factory to you, versus Kiev,Ukraine? I love my KIEV but there is something to be said for buying local!

BOTH my second generation CATTO and Prince Props are due "any day now". Built, just getting "finished" , meanwhile the KIEV I have get's the job done just fine. But even the first gen of both of the others showed some major performance gains, at various airspeeds. so I'll continue to hang in there with CATTO and PRINCE, having to wait tells me they are in great demand, I think? =D> #-o ' "Good things come to those that", blah, blah, blah.

Got the prop threw Rocky Mtn Kit Planes in Utah but picked it up at factory, Whirlwind is about 75 miles from me, So far it is really performing but still tweeking the pitch, and yes it is the new 75".

Having a hard time finding any decent sheep so far, so we went further back into the rocks. Theme for the day was "rising terrain ahead."
