"My dad broke our old airplane".
It's supposed to be "our old airplane broke".
Need to teach that boy while he's still young not to rat out the old man.

No kidding. We have proactively avoided the use of the "C" word, especially around the kids.

The next installment of Adam's writings. Love it! He's always asking when we can go back to Caveman.

Re: Grassstrippilot's Flying Adventures

Due to some computer issues it took me most of the week, but here is a quick little video of our first family outing in the new plane. After a fly-in breakfast was cancelled, Allen and I decided to brave the weather for a lunch run to Oakley, Idaho. Great burgers and a fun trip. My dad, brother, and nephew met us at the airport for the short ride to lunch. I was so happy being back at it![emoji5]

Re: Grassstrippilot's Flying Adventures

Looks like it was a fun trip and a great way to break in the new plane!

What's the name of the burger joint? I may have to check it out the next trip to Idaho Falls.

I fly right over Oakley often and didn't give it much thought until you posted about it.

Re: Grassstrippilot's Flying Adventures

GREAT video! Looks like everyone had a great time. Family, flying, burgers and adventure all in one.

Like I said before, great looking airplane! Love the colors and simple scheme. Those burgers looked real good!

Re: Grassstrippilot's Flying Adventures

Oakley is one that missed being on my radar until the last few years. The name of the place is Searl's gas station. There is one other place in town that I hear does good burgers too but I've not been there. Searl's use their own home grown beef, hand made paddies every day as well as fresh made buns every day. The kids had pizza this time and it was good as well. Easy 3-4 block walk from the strip. Good stop. Good people running it too. Stop in and say hi and tell him I told you to visit! I told him I'd try to get the word out![emoji1]

Thanks Kurt! I'll be loosing the panties tomorrow![emoji4]

What editor was used (I would like to change from Adobe for my one man shows)?

Great looking crew and aircraft.

Re: Grassstrippilot's Flying Adventures

Thanks everyone. I just threw this one together on iMovie. You can now import videos from google drive...which was a barrier I had prior to this time. It's pretty easy to use and I need to play with it some more to figure out what all can be done with it. In the past I've used Magix on my home computer, it's a very capable program but there is a learning curve. Now that I don't have a laptop (for a couple of years), I need something that lets me do these on my iPad while I'm on the road. Now that I can drop these into my google drive file and access them directly from the app, it should work well.

IPAD + iMovie .... Wow. You got some talent! All on a tablet! I am impressed.
