And we get the TFR on Friday afternoon and Sat. Good thing he's not going to Reno.

Re: High Sierra Fly-in, INFO - 2014 - UPDATED 10/3

Just got back from the lakebed . Weather could not get any better !!! Little to no wind for the last few days out there . Should be the same throughout the weekend .Arriving again mid morning tomorrow. Also , rumor has it that some of the other lakebeds in the area are really soft . So keep that in mind while out bouncing around .Going to be awesome!!

I'm bringing the bike and fuel hauler trailer  so that 5 minute walk will be a piece of cake. Thanks for that info Gump. This assumes I can go......still up in the air there, or not.

Lets go together, so maybe I can use your bike/trailer after you ;)

You better make it, I need my slow flight companion!

Was planning on leaving Alb Thurs AM but looks like a strong storm coming in from Arizona may upset my plans. Will have to see what it looks like in the morning. Really would like to make it.

Rich, I'll be taking off from Rio Vista at about 6:30. Wave your wings if you blow past a slow 170! Bryan will be flying circles around me in his mooney also. We are gonna stop and check out Alpine along the way just because I've never been, then maybe breakfast in Minden. We'll be on fingers, or maybe fingers plus.

Cory, what's Bluwing?

A month or so there was a thread about a lakebed NW of LOL called Bluewing. I'll at least fly by.

Let's here more about lakebeds being soft. That might curtail my exploring on the way to the fly in.

Fly safe everyone. Launching out of OGD by 7am I hope. Wells for fuel.

Read and run Cory. It's nice out. Dark is danger....

Sitting by the fire here at 3sgs with Svansrts and Wally. It's beautiful out.

We spent the afternoon and up until dark cleaning the lakebed. It's clean!!!! Flags are up at the end of the runway. We are here....

Yeah, I was just wondering if anyone had specific reports on soft lakebeds by name. How's the lake doing?

See you all tomorrow afternoon!

Start driving. Go west on Hwy 50. Turn left, turn right, and you're there.

Looks like a great weekend we got coming up. Got some work to do this morning including packing the Maule. Yesterday I put the 29s on, gassed, oil and pre-flighted it. Headed to my place in Madras later today. 3SGS early Friday. Bringing my friend Chad in his 180.

Cheers...Rob
