If you found Fiesta En Jalisco, drive up past wal-mart on 93 to the museum of America neat place lots of cool stuff. With $4.31 gal you can fly all over the area! If low watch out for unmarked wires.
It would be great if you guys could come do the BItterroot Home school course since you are this close. They are a lot of fun and perfect to keep you sharp for your next trip into Simonds. (The Flying Hawkes says they meet minimum standards) At least talk Willie into coming as far as Stevensville and checking out our current projects. We have completed the mods on the 182 to 180 conversion and are starting to put it back together. Just a short trip from Polson.
Would love to put a face to some of the backcountry pilot legends. It's awesome the places you guys go and adventures you create.
Man I'm sorry you guys are having such a horrible time in the awful looking area. I really feel for yall. Did anyone shoot that ugly bear stealing the lumber?! Careful. He may be drunk.
Hey Rob: The West Fork Lodge van brought back sad memories. Did you notice on the passenger door, N8427Z RIP?
I spent the night at West Fork the day I lost my engine. Unfortunately I didn't make it to West Fork, and ended up on the south end of Painted Rock Lake (Coal Creek Rd.) Hawk landed at WF and they gave him the van to pick me up at the unscheduled landing spot.
Tex knows how to cook the meals there, especially prime rib.
