Nice, Rob!! Love that smell of sage after a rain, time to take doors off and hit the deck over the desert at times like that.

For those interested, several BCP'rs are stopping by a strip and cabin I have at Landers Ca this weekend, and anyone interested is welcome to join, fly or drive. The strip is about 10 miles north of Yucca Valley and the coordinates are N 34 deg 16 min04.71' W 1116 deg 22 min 27.19'. If you Google the intersection of Sunset Mesa and Lutz, Landers, you will see the strip running E/W to the SE of the intersection. The cabin is the second cabin on Lutz E/O Sunset Mesa, with the cottonwoods, motorhome, jeeps, firetruck. The strip is 1,000 ft, but soft about 50 ft at both ends, 3,000 ft elevation, with wires 330 ft from the west end, east end clear. Rob can give a PIREP, he had no problem with his Maule.

I'll be there Friday afternoon, and we may hit Pappy and Harriets one night and just sit around at the outdoor bar and grill steaks at the cabin the other night. Probably do some jeep exploring and flying, whatever works. Food and beverages are already provided, cabin or motorhome available.

The strip is about a mile south of the peak showing 3668 elevation, but just north of the Reche Rd, the road showing E/W




From the west end, the cabin is to the left of the airplanes, with the motorhome and cottonwoods

Is there cell coverage at the chicken strip?? I guess so. Its been about 15 years since I was in Saline Valley. Those were good days hanging with young hippy chicks.
