I can hardly wait till January 20th when I can go to SOCAL and Arizona for some sun and better weather.

NW Oregon has just been stormy. Yesterday we had wind gust at the coast of 92 and 84 MPH Pacific City had a 61 MPH gust. We have flooding and land slides all over the area. Down town Portland broke the rain fall record for the day that has stood since 1884 2.26" 2 of my 3 ways to get to Pacific City are close due to flooding. No end in site yet. Good news is lots of snow in the mountains.

been absolutely beautiful flying weather down here lately Rob... over night early morning temps in the high 30's warming up to the mid to uper 60's mid day, 50 mile plus vis...
..... unfortunately my Maule has been down for a month waiting for a rebuilt starter adapter to be returned from aircraft specialties... probably get back in the air between Christmas and New years but am looking forward to the annual Jan 1 flight to Chiriacco summit for breakfast....

Loved the picture of the fish crossing the road. I had a similar situation years ago while heading out duck hunting. Walking along a flooded and deserted country road to get to my hunting spot and here comes a nice steelhead doing the same thing as the fish in the picture. Well steelhead were open and I considered the 12 gauge to be a barbless hook so BOOM and a fine dinner was had.

We are headed to Pacific City. ETA 2PM. Come camp or what ever.
Troutdale is a little windy, but has a great DA.

My ground speed is going to be 177 MPH ++++ west bound.

Thanks Doug: that sounds like fun. This time we will have to bring more than 4 Trader Joe's tamales. My plan is to get down to SOCAL close to the 20th of this month. I'll touch base as we get closer.

Hey Doug: The wx is looking sketchy but I am going to try the 20th. The weather guesser thinks maybe I can squeak through between storms. If not the 20th the first safe flyable day after that. I'll let you know here and send you a text.
