I don't believe this weather! It's 83 degrees Fahrenheit at Newport! Yesterday at the hangar it was about 90!

It has been 2 weeks since I have got to fly. Working last 2 weeks full time on the cottage by the Pacific City airport. Had to drive the truck to haul lumber.

So the wx guesser said we were headed into some great wx. I was all set to fly back to PC today with the wife. The wx guesser changed the forecast to where it looked like we might get stuck. But no it was great. I hate it when that happens.

Generally the wx people do all right. So by golly I'm headed out tomorrow or Monday for sure. I need my flying fix.....BAD!

Headed over to Johnson Creek July 23.24 to hang with my friend iceman. The 25th headed up to see supermaule at clear creek. I hope to see some BCPers at JC. I'll have the SPOT on. Flying solo.

Looking forward to your visit at Clear Creek. I'll have plenty of food, booze and bullets. Should be hot this week so it looks like zip line rides, swiming in the creek, and plenty of adult beverages. I invited Paul to breakfast in Kooskia on Thursday morning but have not heard back from him yet.

So here I am at JC. No sign of iceman. Where could he be??? Big Creek, Cabin Creek, Indian Creek. To many places to look. I'll go do the loop in the morning and get breakfast at Sulfur Creek. Till then I'll have a beverage or 10.

Iceman and his son showed up about lunch time. Had a good BS session, and made a trip into Yellowpine. Had a nice snooze under the airplane in the shade too. Had a firebase set up three Hueys coming and going all day long but they've all moved out now to a different location.

It was a great short trip. James's place at Clear Creek international is absolutely fantastic. Good to spend time with iceman and meet his son Dennis. Got to spend a day hanging out with Curtis at elk city great guy.
