My brother in law, a retired geologist calls it a "tombolo" and no he's not Italian. I just call it paradise, my little bit of heaven here on Earth.

Hanging out on the beach at Naknek Lake watching the Brooks Falls circus. This is my first season bringing folks out here and it's been a lot of fun.

I like looking at those bear pictures from the comfort of my home office a thousand miles away. You sure don't want to leave a cooler of fish in your plane with those critters walking around!

Seaplane Pilots Association's "Water Flying" magazine published that sunset shot from last month with a little story caption.

Had a fun, albeit way to short video shoot with some local buddies back in October. Started looking at footage finally. I'm so slow to edit it's absurd.

Thought the Seaplane fans might like this, how to get your plane off a concrete ramp :)

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

My Beaver buddy Andy stopped by today and did an awesome thing: gave my 90 year-old Air Force veteran neighbor a ride. I shot some video from my beater boat, getting chewed up by deer flies, without sunscreen. Also got a fun intro to Wipline 6100 wrangling in waist-deep water at my dock.

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

We get a lot of great sunsets up here but Sept 3rd was extra special, and noted local photographer Jake Edwards happened to be visiting me.
