My brother in law, a retired geologist calls it a "tombolo" and no he's not Italian. I just call it paradise, my little bit of heaven here on Earth.

Hanging out on the beach at Naknek Lake watching the Brooks Falls circus. This is my first season bringing folks out here and it's been a lot of fun.
I like looking at those bear pictures from the comfort of my home office a thousand miles away. You sure don't want to leave a cooler of fish in your plane with those critters walking around!
