Short version. BFR done thanks to M5guy. Enjoying second BFR now (beer for replenishment).

Way to go Craig. Steve is a good man. I hope you didn't scare him to bad.
Cheers

I’ve been looking to land at this spot for about a month, flying over it a half dozen times, measuring approach and departure etc. Conditions needed to be right, as most often the SW flow creates too much turbulence on approach from the east to allow a slow enough airspeed to be safe. Today the wind was almost calm and the Husky light, with only 10 gallons fuel - - only thing almost lacking was courage . . . at 9,450’, not a great place to smooch the pooch.
One less item on the bucket list . . . yeeehaaaaa!
