Coning back to North Battleford

Dropped in to check out Mercey Hot Springs. Then flew over to Modesto KMOD to meet the family and some friends at Tom Hillier's hanger to check out his airplane collection. Then took a friend for a ride over the Sierra foothills. Was a perfect day for flying other than the visibility in the valley. It was great everywhere else.

Did you tape the 9ers game? I won't tell you if you did.

Way too nice a day to spend inside. John and I took a flight over to Hidden Splendor. Perfect flying weather and the strip is in excellent shape. Hard to believe it is the middle of January.

Today just a short flight with my wife for lunch and a nice swim in the Hopper Hot spring Pool Didn't even hit the $100 and got to swim too.

Flew from Iraan to Jacksboro and back, problem was it was in a stinking Duramax. Been a 1000 miles today and ain't even left Texas. My old 170 thinks I got a mistress, probably won't even let me in her.

Just another great mid winter flight. Flew down the Green river to Mineral Canyon.

Took the J3 Cub for a run up part of the coast on the weekend. This is looking towards Double Is Point.

Got my tailwheel endorsement yesterday in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am on a temp assignment in East Tennessee so that is a long way away from my 182 in Idaho. I borrowed the super cub and flew a Decathlon. It was awesome and now I get the whole tail wheel thing

Stopped at Mineral Canyon last week on my return from Fairfield Utah with my new S-7LS

I am assuming you flew with Mikey Matthews out of Lake Norman Airpark. He did my tailwheel endorsement in the Deke. Awesome guy to fly with.

You are correct, I did fly with Mikey Mathews. He is a great pilot and great instructor, he taught me way more than just a tail wheel endorsement. He taught me how to safely push the aircraft to the edges of the envelope (safely) and then what to do if things go wrong. It was a ton of fun and I am going back for more
