Re: Where did you fly today?

Oh no! I’m not that good at all! The real credit goes to Brad Gould, a fellow Husky flyer who is an amazing artist. He made up a single line drawing of our dog (a miniature Australian Shepard) and then I traced it on to Foreflight with an Apple Pencil over the drawing on top of the iPad. Flying it was easy!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Went to washington Court House Ohio with a Buddy and the wives yesterday and came back today. The weather was great. We stayed in Dayton overnight and had the plane at Morane Park (I73) overnight. A very nice guy there let us put our plane in his heated hangar overnight. I was searching around for tie downs in the grass near a hangar, and he hooked us up :) It was a great 7 hours of flight.

I forgot to mention we were in Ohio looking at a straight tail 172. It was not the one though. We are still searching if anyone knows of a nice one.

Good guy at Washington Court House 23 years ago. Still him if old or family? I flew Sun Mid Continent pipeline from Houston to just short of Pennsylvania line across southern Ohio.

The airport manager has the 172 for sale at washington court house. I forget his name. But Brad at Morane Park is the guy that hooked us up. Brad had a really cool 5-cyl. 100hp waco biplane in there. Very cool

Not today but had a good trip south from Denver to KTDW yesterday. Smooth dense air solo in the 185 sure is fun! Unfortunately no off airport play though.

BRD what camera do you use? Your photos are incredible!

Flew out to Cayuse Creek today to figure out what kind of approach I want to use come summertime. That seems like a pretty sporty strip to get into / out of!

PPS - In those last shots I used an old Canon 7D with 24-70 lens and an iPhone11 for the wide angle. (I often use an even more ancient hand-me-down 1D too.)

Love the Silver Eagle. What an incredible conversion by O&N, the design and workmanship is amazing on those things and the performance is stunning. I've frequently flown a T210R and the Silver Eagle back to back. In my opinion the T210R is hands down the best single Cessna has ever produced. A proven and surprisingly capable backcountry aircraft that easily TAS's 200+ knots at altitude. But whack a 450hp turbine in it and wow what a combo

Onefitty, YEP that silver eagle is one fine machine. Not mine, just lucky enough to share hangar space with it! Ha

Re: Where did you fly today?

It was too nice of a day to stay inside. Blew off work for a few hours and hopped in the Champ. Only a couple of photos, nothing spectacular, Just a nice ridge with the high peaks in the background, some ice fishermen and a jet - I kept my distance from both. Only flew for a hour, but one of those perfect days. We have some warm weather coming, so not sure how much ski flying we have left. Hopefully a couple more weeks at least.

Nice clear day. That looks like a busy lake by all the tracks on it.
