Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

What camera/lens did you use for this set?

Re: Where did you fly today?

For the set you showed I used a Sony NEX-5n / kit 18-55mm lens (shooting in RAW, processing in PS). At Twin Pine I used a Canon 1D.

Glad to see you burning that coors light. I'm presuming those were full cans, it would be a shame to be drinking that, with all the wonderful craft beers in the northwest! :D

We had a great weekend of flying here in California. To Bo and Tom, thanks for letting us enjoy your private airstrips!

I finally got the Savage back together and in the air.
Headed to the Moab area for a shake down flight.
Another fine day for flying.

Life is good. Life is better with wings.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Nice day for a Central Oregon flight.
Santiam Junction was dry and smooth and McKenzie Bridge was good with a few fresh gopher mounds.

I flew with Justin to SoCal yesterday to deliver some Comanche tip tanks. On the way back we flew to Panamint Springs for lunch and then the Chicken Strip. It was a good day of flying!

Not to my tastes but it was OK. Sounded like the melody from "Tears of a Clown" by Smokey Robinson kind of in the background toward the end.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Headed back to Mineral Canyon with Ladd and one of his Carbon Cubs. Overcast but calm pleasant flight.
Several BCP members from the SLC area showed up. And we heard quite a bit more traffic at Mexican Mountain and Cedar Mountain.
Amazing for a Wednesday.

Fun stuff S-12. I've camped at Dead Horse Point, but I was travelling by motorcycle. I think you had the better view coming and going! Thanks for posting.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Nothing is ever easy around here.
I scraped a ton of cow turds off of the threshold of the hangar. (They think anything man made is Club Med™).
The turds were rather soft. Determined to fly, I tried to make some ramps through the cow turds. It was a little too slushy for stability.
After a hernia or two and shouting some new obscenities we were airborne.
