When I saw this today at the local airport, I felt like a boy who wanted to run off and join the circus!

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

About one year of my life went into developing this new float. It is intended for experimental super cubs, and other similar aircraft up to 2000 lbs GW.

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

Levi,
How do they differ from the 2250a, any significant changes?
Are the gear components interchangeable?

Sorry, I did see the fine print I should have realize these are "production" PK floats so disregard my numbskull question above

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

The hull is similar to a PK2250A, but it is 2 feet shorter. The landing gear from a 2250A will fit a 2050A, but it can be made lighter because of the lower GW. I can sell these complete ready bolt on, or just in primer with a kit to make rigging and fit it yourself.

My beautiful, shiny smooth, buttery, Aerocet Floats and I are seperated by an international border. Sigh.
Hopefully next year....

Re: Photo Thread: Float Flying

I finally got back into a Seaplane this year.

This has been some of the most fun I've had flying in a long time! Going up north to get my private limitations removed has been one of my best flying experiences, and I'm seriously considering getting something that I can put on floats for the next float season.

If you're up in Ely visiting the USFS's Beavers with Hennycub, check out the Stony Ridge Café. It's a short walk from the dock but the Juicy Lucy was well worth it!

I'm a sailor and a pilot, but I'm envious of all of you who are both at the same time.

Love this thread.
